Newsletter – Women and Family Department Visitation

On March 22-25, 2012, the Women and Family Department of the Mongolia Mission Field (MMF) visited Hentii church, which is 300 kilometers east of Ulaanbaatar. The purpose of the visit was to conduct relationship training for couples and to help introduce our church to the spouses who are non-believers.

During the first day, a seminar was conducted on Temperance for the ladies and female high school students. A survey was taken on understanding ones’ self. The importance of understanding our differences and understanding ourselves was explained, which will help us to make the right choices. After the Sabbath worship service, ten families, whose wives are the only ones attending the church, were invited to a program. Lectures were given on ‘Love Languages’ and ‘Differences Between Men and Women’, followed by a special dinner to provide time for interaction, questions and answers, and sharing of positive experiences. As expected, non-believing husbands were timid, but they showed good interest in the fellowship and the fruitful discussion. In the testimonies received, one husband shared that he was impressed with the Christian lifestyle, specifically the principles of living right. Another appreciated the benefits of having a family that attends church together. A wife also shared that she and her husband now understand each other better and will work towards a closer relationship.

Everyone was truly blessed, and we’re continually praying for each family who participated in the program. Seeds were sown, and it’s time for Hentii church to care for and nurture these families.
